Vidya Siri’s Bachelor in Pharmacy is designed to gain real world professional experience with a strong understanding of medicine and its effects on the human body.

The course aims to produce competent qualified pharmacist with a sound and balanced grounding in variety of setting including pharmaceutical, natural and healthcare sciences.

Throughout the 4 years of study, students will undergo extensive theory and practical training in several Pharmacy core courses from Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry to Experimental Pharmacology.

The course of study for B.Pharm shall extend over a period of eight semesters (four academic years) and six semesters (three academic years) for lateral entry students. Each semester shall consist of not less than 100 working days.

A candidate is required to put in at least 80% attendance in individual courses considering theory and practical separately

Eligibility for admission

Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (P.C.M) and or Biology (P.C.B / P.C.M.B.) as optional subjects individually

or pass the d.pharm exam from PCI approved institutions.

applicants must be at least 17 years of age at the time of admission

It is possible to get admitted to the 2nd year of B.Pharm by lateral entry if the applicant has passed a Diploma in Pharmacy from a PCI approved institute

Exams in the course

The course of study for B.Pharm shall extend over a period of eight semesters (four academic years) and six semesters (three academic years) for lateral entry students.

Practical Training

Every candidate shall be required to work for at least 150 hours spread over four weeks in a Pharmaceutical Industry/Hospital

Community Pharmacist: You can choose to become a community pharmacist after the completion of B.Pharm. This job will be to distribute & dispense medicines under ethical & legal guidelines

Drug Inspector: It is a better job option for those who wish to work as an inspector of quality. The drug inspector has to monitor the utility, quality, and safety of a drug.

Quality Control Associate: This job includes developing, applying revisions, and maintaining quality standards of partially or fully processed materials.

Formulation Development Associate: This job includes identifying new and more effective formulations.

Research and Development Scientist (R&D): You can also work as a scientist in the R&D department.
